Life beyond spine vertebrae.....

Since there are many apples on the trees, there
are numerous ways to preserve their flavor.
Structure of the tree governs the growth function
of each of the fruits and clean air supply.
Let's talk about our spine and nervous system.
It’s where the “flow of life’s travels.” It does look
like a stack of houses, where we store life’s
experiences. We have 33 of them, connected to
one another via articulations, ligaments, joints,
and soft tissues. The complexity of this design
system is astounding.
I envision our spine as "departments" as a concept or a
metaphor for this article.
Imagine you want to get to department 3. You
need to get into the elevator to reach your
destination. The elevator is the spinal cord. Do
you get it now?
On the other hand, imagine the nervous system
is like a highway road with a variety of exits
to different towns or cities. Our central nervous
system.
The central nervous system is the main director
who makes sure we have the electricity to
operate elevator by its proprioceptive system.
The main aim in this article is to take a closer look
and journey through each department and
explore its functions.
From a psychosomatic perspective, each aspect
of the vertebral column can be connected to
emotional, behavioral, and physical pain. A
manifestation of life experiences are stored within
our spine and nervous system.
Fundamentally there are 5 levels, and each
represents its own department of working
excellence. Let's start from the ground up and move towards the CEO Department called,
brain and its fluids represents its own department of
working excellence.
The coccyx sits on ground level at the base of
the spine. Via the tailbone, it is connected to the
root of life and navigates our primal feelings of
survival and safety. The emotional pain can hold, for
example, a memory of being scared by a dog and
falling on your coccyx. BOOM.
Your nervous system recorded this experience
and receives signals informing you about this
traumatic accident. The force of nature pushes
entire bone system in different ways so the structure became little bit twiked and weak.
Those little bones are essential for navigating
our human experience, balancing the self and
keeping the blame in check with oneself.
On the second department we have a level called
The Sacrum. It does hold more responsibility
because it maintains an axis connection with the
HIP bones. It looks like a pendant, and it
actually, serves a purpose by making sure our
power is online and inner stubbornness needs to be
softened with awareness. Our
sexual energy coils around that area.
When unbalanced or compensated it pulls transverse line and sacral canal out of alignment, without us knowing it. We might feel powerless, drained with oneself. We might expect to feel of being stuck with an old sexual and relationship energetcal tights.
As by design, Nature pushes us towards balance. With a lack
of balance we weaken our ability to respond to anger consciously and not blame
the world for our bad choices. Meanwhile, the soft tissue compensate on
the axis and the sacral nerves alarm you on when to
let it go.
As we move to higher levels, there is a larger
department of 5 coordinators. L fellas.
This department support our life processes. It is tough to say that in this department we house our families and the lineages, our lives work, our life and
the support we need in our lives in order to feel we are
belong.
An example would be: My car breaked
down but I don’t have anyone to reach out for
help. My family members never supported me
on the practical financial aspect of life. Etc. The pain
indicator here can be conflicted in a
relationship's connections and can be a gate to
treating the part of the body with proper
techniques. Nature of our body will speak and communicate in the front of the
body fearing the future and force the L1-5 fellas
to compensate for its natural alignment.
On a deeper layer, the question we need
to ask here is?, Can we fully accept life's
pleasures and deal with sexual shame from
abusive relational experiences?
It can be confronting place to be in.
When we have strengthened, resolved and
mostly accepted our family relationships and
balanced our work environment and belonging,
we will feel more open. And by noticing intrinsic
knowledge about ourselves we can soften our will to
fight the contracted pain.
Let’s continue to move to the higher department of
housed visitors. Department of 12 sub-coordinators.
The T12. fellas.
On these levels we have more work to do. Here,
we meet the fear of life, closing oneself off,
and trying to find movement towards clarity. It
does protect our chest pectoral muscles, as well
as, the heart and internal organs. The emotional
door invites experience as being overwhelmed
and angry at life, holding onto old heartfelt hurts.
Our rage can be housed in this room until we acknowledged its existence and transform into creation and healing.
An inability to have control over your personal
situations: As a example your friend triggered your insecurity by withdrawing his/her love and you find yourself"in a Victim attitude with a self-critical friend.
The inability to digest life might hang out by the window if we let
it. As you see, we have a lot of work in this
department. It supports and protects a lot of weight
in our life; via its beautiful, curved “ C”
shape.
Going up. The work done in this department is
based around C7 coordinators.
Guess what? C Fellas are a good friend of the Diaphragm family as it
controls the chest muscles and nerves on
the front of the body.
The another guests here making sure we fight for
how we communicate with the world and find strength in self-expression; dealing with
confusion and guilt might be bottled up.
This leads to feeling not good enough and running
from life. Our neck in general represents our
ability to see clearly, to speak our truth. When
life coils down rather than spiraling up the strength of a neck is compensated and our self-expression is internal; we might dealing with
confusion and internal guilt could be bottled up.
Which leads us to feeling we are not good enough and are
running from life, rather sit with it.
An entire department of C7 fellas are exposed to
compensate for the structural alignment by stiffening
and contracting, thus leading to unspoken words,
suppression of emotions like; I feel heavy on my neck from caring all the world and unresolved conflict.
By unwinding knots in this department, we are
accessing the inner voice and acknowledging the
wisdom of our intuition.
I called this a "TUITION to your inner healer. What a ride!!
On this level, we are supported by the cranium
and atlas. The operational processor of visual,
sensory and thought process. Here we are going
to access our CEO department, where the main
coordinator sits and bridges the upper torso and
cranium.
We elevated ourselves to the department of
cognition, thinking, housed by the Universal
mind & brain of a CEO fellas.
It contains 8 interlocked bones via
biomechanism of human body, including 14
facial bones working in harmony to protect the
brain. Along with an entire waves like ocean
movements of CSF ( cerebral spina fluid )liquid inside
the spine, we are being informed
about our homeostasis experiences through an
intimate connection with nature around us.
The Greek Mythology, “ Atlas is the Titan
condemned to hold up the heavens of sky for
eternity after Titanomachy.
Our burden of heavy lifting is heightened on this
one bone. Atlas. Without complicating the story and
simply put, when twisted our flow of life is
restricted.
On the psychosomatic level, it is essential to be
informed about our connection to all of the
departments. For an OMT practitioner like
myself, my ability to respond to clients'
challenging pain is a necessary skill to know/
how. On the psychosomatic level, it is essential to
be informed about our connection to all of the
departments, thus treating the body as a
whole. And by the use of proper palliative and soft tissue mobilization techniques ( not always the case), is an essential key component in
my manual therapy practice.
I wish for all of us to hold a vision for whole
body health and its responsibility we carry in
our hands. And, to empower one another to
take nature’s intention seriously rather than be
overpowered by our weakness, societal
conditioning and overall well-being.
With love,
Lukasz
